"Plug In To The Power"

In a dark, lonely cell Paul and Silas were thrown
Still bleeding from what they'd received
They could have give up, they could have died where they lay
But instead they just chose to believe

That the One that they served would be true to His word
And they started to sing out His praise,
And as the gates opened wide, the jailer just cried
As they told him just how to be saved.

Plug into the power
And get a surge deep within
With Jesus inside you
Your gonna find that there just ain't no room for your sin
He's worth more than all the oil that your money can buy
So plug into the power and get energized

Some tell me their problems, the burdens they share,
Of how they just can't seem to find
The strength that it takes, to get through one more day
With all the old crud on their mind

They tell me they're weary and so tired of failure
There's got to be some better way
Then the Spirit inside me just seems to take over
I smile and I just simply say:

Plug into the power
And get a surge deep within
With Jesus inside you
Your gonna find that there just ain't no room for your sin
He's worth more than all the oil that your money can buy
So plug into the power and get energized

(spoken:
"You know there is a lot of hurting people out there
so many times they come to me
and they tell me how this old world has beat them down,
and life's kind of pulled the rug out from under them")

And they tell me they're weary and they're so tired of failure,
There's got to be some better way

(spoken: "Boy, I just love this part")

Then the Spirit inside me just seems to take over,
I smile and I just have to say:

Plug into the power
And get a surge deep within
With Jesus inside you
Your gonna find that there just ain't no room for your sin
He's worth more than all the oil that your money can buy
So plug into the power ...that heavenly power...
Just plug into the power...and get energized.
