The Times Are Perilous

The times are perilous there are preparations for war,
the signs of it’s coming too conspicuous to ignore.

People are frightened not knowing what to expect;
many sorrow filled tears have already been wept.

Families being separated, loved ones far from home,
protecting our freedom is how their love is shown.

Not thinking of themselves but of all our families;
and we can each repay them by falling to our knees.

By falling on our knees lifting them up in prayer,
asking God to keep each one in His loving care.

We can seek guidance for our President a God fearing man,
who himself has accepted the Salvation Plan.

We can entrust him and his decisions to God above,
asking Him to guide and direct our President with love.

We can remember we’ve not been given a “spirit of fear”,
but “wisdom and knowledge” from a God who’s always near.

We can recall how we’re told in “The Holy Word”,
of God’s precious grace and how often it’s occurred.

We can see repentance and prayer are never ignored;
that they are the way we seek guidance from our Lord.

The times are perilous but God’s love is the same,
we can reverently bow down to Him in Jesus’ name!
